DOVE OF PEACE ( PALOMA )

The dove of peace is a powerful symbol that represents tranquility, harmony, and unity. 

The intention and inspiration of this necklace is to symbolize peace and harmony through the image of a bird. The design is inspired by the biblical story of Noah's Ark, where a dove carrying an olive leaf represents the end of a storm and the return of peace on earth. The bird is made as a sculpture using gold wires, with a ruby or sapphire eye and an emerald as the olive leaf. 

This design is influenced by Picasso's painting of the Paloma and Alexander Calder's mobiles. When wearing the necklace, the person and those who see it will be visually activated by the outline of the bird carrying a leaf in her mouth.

 When held in the sun or light, the necklace creates shadows of the bird's outline, and when photographed, the background becomes a part of the bird, adding to its story.

The dove of peace carries the potential to inspire individuals and communities to work towards creating a world free from conflict and filled with compassion.
